One day workshop

Vet Nurses

This training day is designed to build on day 1 and is for veterinary nurses looking to advance their knowledge of anaesthesia in the compromised patient. The focus of day two is advanced monitoring techniques and the equipment utilised in compromised and high-risk anaesthesia patients, with a practical focus on anaesthesia protocols for multiple compromised patient scenarios and procedures.

Please note that we also offer an Anaesthesia for Veterinary Nurses I (day 1) workshop to complement this session. We highly recommend completing day 1 in addition to day 2.

Key learning areas:

  • ECG rhythms and cardiac arrhythmia analysis
  • Capnography and the different capnography traces
  • Direct arterial blood pressure monitoring techniques
  • Compromised anaesthesia patients and their management
  • High risk anaesthesia cases
  • Anaesthesia drug protocols for high-risk anaesthesia patients
